Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 13, 2026 · Last updated: July 20, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how NoFilterReview ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information in connection with the operation of the website located at nofilterreview.com (the "Site"). By accessing or using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the practices described herein, please discontinue use of the Site.

2. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected through the Site. It does not apply to any third-party website, application, or service, including any application reviewed on the Site or any destination reached through an outbound link. Such third parties maintain their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information collected automatically. The Site is a static website served through Cloudflare, Inc. ("Cloudflare"). Like substantially all web hosting providers, Cloudflare processes technical information in standard server logs when you access the Site, including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages requested, and timestamps. This processing is performed by Cloudflare for the purposes of content delivery, network security, and abuse prevention, and is governed by Cloudflare's privacy policy. We do not use this information to identify individual visitors.

3.2 Link measurement. When you activate an outbound link routed through the /go/ path on the Site, we record the time of the click and the identifier of the destination. When you activate a ranked app link in the Arena, we may also record the app identifier, Arena category, link placement, displayed rank, target type, and time of the click. These records contain no name, account identifier, visitor or session identifier, or other information identifying you.

3.3 Newsletter subscription data. If you voluntarily subscribe to our email newsletter, we collect your email address. This information is stored and processed by our newsletter service provider, acting as a processor on our behalf, and is used solely to deliver the communications you have requested.

3.4 Correspondence. If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry and to maintain a record of the correspondence.

3.5 Arena voting data. If you cast a rating in the Arena (our community ranking feature), we set a single first-party cookie ("nfr_arena_voter") that stores a random identifier so that each browser keeps one active rating per app and category and so that repeat and automated voting can be limited. This cookie contains no name, email, or account identifier, and the identifier is stored in our records only as a salted hash. We record the ratings you submit (scores on category dimensions, whether you indicate you were a paid user, your stated usage depth, and comparison choices) together with the time of submission. A migration-specific ballot may also record your confirmation that you used the source app, the reasons you are seeking an alternative, and an optional app nomination. When you follow a ranked app's link, we also record the click as described in Section 3.2. This information is used to compute and display community rankings, understand migration needs, and detect voting abuse; it is not used to identify you.

3.6 Campaign measurement. A specially tagged campaign link may increment aggregate daily counters for the campaign, Arena category, action, and page target. These counters help measure interest in a ranking, voting activity, and clicks to related content. They do not store a cookie, visitor or session identifier, IP address, browser information, full URL, ballot text, or raw referrer.

3.7 Information we do not collect. Except for the single Arena voting cookie described in Section 3.5, the Site does not set first-party cookies. The Site does not offer user accounts, does not embed third-party analytics or advertising scripts, and does not employ fingerprinting or cross-site tracking technologies. We do not collect payment information of any kind.

4. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to: (a) operate, maintain, and secure the Site; (b) measure aggregate interest in published content; (c) deliver newsletter communications to subscribers; (d) respond to inquiries; and (e) comply with applicable legal obligations. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Legal Bases for Processing

Where the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR") or equivalent legislation applies, we process personal data on the following legal bases: legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in operating and securing the Site and measuring content performance; consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) for newsletter communications, which you may withdraw at any time; and compliance with legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR) where applicable.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Site sets one first-party cookie, and only if you vote in the Arena: "nfr_arena_voter", a strictly functional cookie holding a random identifier used to keep one active rating per browser and to limit repeat or automated voting, as described in Section 3.5. It expires after one year and is not used for analytics or advertising. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary cookies for security purposes (for example, bot mitigation), as described in Cloudflare's cookie policy. Third-party websites that you reach through outbound links may set their own cookies, including cookies used to attribute affiliate referrals; those cookies are governed exclusively by the policies of the respective third parties.

7. Affiliate Links and Third-Party Websites

The Site participates in affiliate marketing programs. Outbound affiliate links are routed through the /go/ path and are marked with rel="sponsored". When you follow such a link, the destination operator is informed that your visit originated from this Site; no personal data is transmitted by us in connection with the referral. Compensation arrangements are described in our Affiliate Disclosure. Once you leave the Site, the collection and use of your information is governed by the privacy policy of the destination.

8. Disclosure of Information

We may disclose information in the following limited circumstances: (a) to service providers (such as our hosting provider and newsletter provider) acting on our behalf under appropriate contractual safeguards; (b) where required by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request; (c) to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; and (d) in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case the successor entity will remain bound by commitments materially consistent with this Privacy Policy.

9. Data Retention

Server logs are retained by Cloudflare in accordance with its own retention schedules. Link records and aggregate daily campaign counters are retained for so long as they remain relevant to the operation of the Site. Arena ballots, ratings, optional comments, migration responses, and app nominations are retained while they remain relevant to publishing community rankings and protecting their integrity. Newsletter subscription data is retained until you unsubscribe or until the newsletter is discontinued. Correspondence is retained for so long as reasonably necessary to address the matter raised.

10. Data Security

We implement technical and organizational measures appropriate to the limited scope of data processed through the Site, including transport-layer encryption (HTTPS) for all connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. International Data Transfers

The Site is operated from the United States and served through Cloudflare's global network. If you access the Site from outside the United States, you understand that limited technical information may be processed in the United States and other jurisdictions in which our service providers operate, subject to the safeguards described in their respective policies.

12. Your Privacy Rights

12.1 European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland. Where the GDPR or equivalent legislation applies, you have the right to request access to, rectification of, or erasure of your personal data; the right to restrict or object to processing; the right to data portability; and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

12.2 California. Subject to applicable exemptions, California residents have the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, the right to request deletion, the right to correct inaccurate personal information, and the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights, in each case under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended ("CCPA"). We do not sell or share personal information within the meaning of the CCPA.

12.3 Exercising your rights. Requests may be submitted to the contact address in Section 16. We will verify and respond to requests in accordance with applicable law. Given the minimal data collected by the Site, most requests can be resolved promptly.

13. Children's Privacy

The Site reviews adult-oriented products and is intended solely for individuals who are at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from any individual under the age of 18. If you believe that an individual under 18 has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.

14. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Because the Site does not engage in individual, behavioral, or cross-site tracking, browser "Do Not Track" and Global Privacy Control signals do not alter the Site's behavior; the Site already operates in the manner such signals request.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date above reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be posted on this page prior to taking effect. Your continued use of the Site after the effective date of any revision constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
