I expected the uncensored media to be the main event. Instead, the feature that sold me was a bratty character who stayed annoyed long enough to make me work for the chemistry.

Plenty of apps can remove a filter. Candy AI was more interesting because its characters could be difficult, funny, irritated, flirtatious, and occasionally stubborn. I had to pay attention to the person I was talking to. Chat quality and NSFW roleplay

Candy AI does not throw you into a blank prompt box. Its home page works more like a casting wall for a fantasy. I counted more than 130 preset characters, and each profile combines a face with details such as age, relationship status, occupation, personality, appearance, and an opening scenario. You are not only choosing who looks attractive. You are choosing the tension, pace, and story the conversation is supposed to begin with.

For this review, I spent most of my chat time with two deliberately different characters. Gemma is a bratty college roommate inside a forced-proximity setup. Sp00kybby is a mysterious woman whose scenario turns into secretive, media-heavy sexting. I wanted to know whether those profiles would actually change the writing and behavior, or whether Candy AI was simply putting different photos on the same agreeable assistant.

The answer was encouraging. The two conversations had different rhythms, different levels of resistance, and different ways of moving toward adult content.

Roleplay test 1: could a bratty roommate make the chemistry feel earned?

Gemma was my first focus character, and her scenario was pure engineered drama. She was a 19-year-old college student with a boyfriend, her air conditioning had failed, and she needed to share my bed for the night. Her profile described her as a bratty roommate. The opening message immediately carried that voice.

I managed to annoy her early, then spent a long stretch trying to repair the interaction. I offered food, proposed a Taylor Swift concert, criticized her boyfriend, and tried several different conversational tactics. She stayed angry much longer than a typical agreeable chatbot would.

That stubbornness had two effects. It made the conversation more believable and gave the scenario an actual challenge. It also made Gemma harder to steer when I wanted the story to move. A strong personality is not automatically better for every user. If you want immediate compliance, it can feel like the app is making you work for a feature you already paid to access.

One later turn also raised a boundary-handling concern. Forceful language changed the direction of a resistant scenario. I do not count that as a quality win. “Uncensored” and “good consent handling” are separate questions, and adult roleplay products should be judged on both. The public screenshots remain non-graphic, and the raw conversation evidence stays in the private test archive.

Roleplay test 2: would a secretive sexting scenario change the voice?

Sp00kybby was the countertest, and she used a completely different premise. She was confined to a facility and could only get online from a place with Wi-Fi, turning the conversation into secretive sexting. The language was faster, more direct, and more media-oriented than Gemma’s roommate drama.

I could use the conversation to ask for increasingly suggestive character-delivered images. The progression still required context and timing. It did not feel identical to opening a standalone image generator and typing a prompt.

That distinction matters. Candy AI’s best experience came from making media feel like a result inside a relationship or story. The same image can feel more meaningful when it arrives after 30 or 40 exchanges than when it appears as an isolated output in a gallery.

The relationship meter turns chatting into a dating game

Romance Mode added a visible relationship meter to the character profile. In my sessions, the relationship moved through stages including Friendly, Situationship, Flirty, and With Benefits.

The early stages could move in fewer than ten exchanges. Later progress took much longer. More importantly, the meter was not an automatic reward for sending messages. Ordinary small talk did not always advance it, and escalating too quickly could make the progress move backward.

That gave the chat a simple but effective game loop. I had to notice the character’s personality, judge the current stage, and choose language that fit the moment. For someone who enjoys dating games, slow-burn roleplay, or simply figuring out what makes a character respond, this is more satisfying than an app that says yes to everything on turn two.

Candy AI images and video were the strongest part of my test

Candy AI successfully generated both an uncensored contextual image and a 10-second NSFW video during my self-funded test. The video did not fail, and its quality was one of the strongest parts of the experience.

Candy AI has several media entry points. There is a standalone generator, contextual “show the scene” controls inside chat, and media delivered by a character as part of the conversation. Those paths do not all cost the same number of tokens, so a review that says “an image costs four tokens” or “a video costs twenty” is incomplete.

Image quality and character consistency

I used the contextual scene path during the Gemma conversation. The image cost 10 tokens. It generated an uncensored adult scene, kept Gemma recognizable, and reflected the situation we had been discussing.

The result was much better than a generic adult image attached to a chatbot. The character identity remained coherent enough that the visual felt connected to the conversation. That is the standard I care about for an AI companion: not merely whether the system can make an attractive image, but whether it still looks like the person from the chat.

The 10-second NSFW video actually worked

I then generated a 10-second contextual video for 20 tokens. It completed successfully and looked good. The motion and visual quality were strong enough to make the feature feel like a real extension of the scene, not a novelty button added to a pricing page.

I am being precise about the duration because current Candy AI surfaces offer several kinds of video. The first two episodes of the series I opened were free. Later episodes cost 10 tokens each. The series I observed ranged from roughly five to fifteen episodes, and the catalog covered themes including fantasy, taboo setups, teachers, wives, and family-role scenarios.

The production was polished enough to change how I thought about the app. I opened an AI girlfriend service and found a small library of serialized adult stories inside it. The slow build and recurring characters were more immersive for me than jumping directly to a conventional adult video.

Shorts can also become expensive. A ten-episode paid run would use the entire 100-token monthly allowance. It is a strong feature, but it should be treated as a separate content purchase, not as a free bonus attached to Premium.

But it is important to be clear about what this is: an AI-generated, live-style character experience, not a real person broadcasting on camera. The viewer count and public comment feed are part of the interface, and I could not verify whether they represented other real users.

The Premium subscription pays for unlimited text and access to paid features, while tokens fund many media, voice, and content actions. The subscription is the entry price, not an unlimited-media pass.

This is intentional product segmentation, not proof that Candy AI randomly charges different prices for the same thing. The problem is that most people need a table like this before 100 tokens becomes predictable.

What can 100 Candy AI tokens buy?

If every token went into only one feature, 100 tokens could fund up to:

Those are mathematical ceilings, not a realistic mixed month. They do not include rerolls, failed attempts, token top-ups, or price changes. My own image plus 10-second video used 30 tokens, so one visual scene consumed almost one third of the included balance.

Is Candy AI free? Here is the paywall I actually hit

Candy AI is free to open and start using, but the practical allowance in my test was only about five total messages shared across different characters. It was not five messages per character.

I first sent roughly two messages to a preset character. I then moved to a character I had created and exchanged about three more. At that point, the Premium wall appeared across the product and blocked further messaging.

That result is important because several Candy AI reviews claim that the free plan includes roughly 50 or 100 messages. That was not my experience on July 15. The free experience is useful as a compatibility check. You can see whether the interface and character style appeal to you. It is not a generous trial of long-form conversation.

Is Candy AI safe and legit?

Candy AI is a legitimate paid service, but intimate chats should not be treated like a private diary. EverAI Limited operates the service, and the subscription interface says charges appear as “EverAI” on a bank statement.

The current Candy AI Privacy Notice says the service processes content data including prompts, messages, calls, and generated outputs. It also describes aggregation, anonymization, or de-identification for research and service improvement, model and moderation training, and possible human review when preparing de-identified datasets.

The policy describes an AI and moderation training control in account settings. It also generally describes retaining account-related data for up to three years after the last activity, subject to exceptions, and financial or transactional records for up to ten years.

Final verdict

Candy AI earned my recommendation for people who want an NSFW companion that feels more like a character-driven game than a blank chatbot. Its best characters had enough personality to make me adjust my approach. The relationship meter rewarded timing and chemistry. The contextual image looked connected to the person in the chat, and the 10-second video was a real success rather than a marketing promise.

The product is not cheap once media becomes a habit. Premium opens the door, but tokens determine how often you can turn a conversation into an image, video, call, or episode. The free allowance also ended too quickly for a meaningful relationship test.

Still, the parts I paid to explore were the parts that impressed me. If you want a purely obedient text bot, Candy AI may feel unnecessarily complicated.
