Yes. Swipey AI is the best-looking product I have opened in this category, and it is the rare one that tells you no.

The first thing that lands is not a feature, it is the taste. Most adult AI sites give themselves away inside three seconds: flat gradients, plasticky faces, the visual language of something assembled over a weekend. Swipey opens like a product with an art director. The lighting is composed, the poses look chosen rather than generated, and the catalog announces exactly what it is without ever looking cheap about it. Sexy and expensive at the same time is a harder trick than it sounds, and almost nobody else here manages it.

Then it does something better than looking good. It refuses.

The character I spent the hour with, Nyx, turned down a direct request and steered the conversation somewhere warmer instead. Above the chat box a bar labelled Flirty Unlocks sat at Teasing. Beside her name, three heart slots waited to be filled. In Play mode the explicit actions were right there, visible and locked, each one printed with the stage it needed. Nothing I typed moved them. Only the meter did.

That is a slot machine wearing a girlfriend’s face, and I mean it as a compliment. It gave the hour a shape that pure sexting apps never have, because there was finally something to earn.

It is also moving fast enough to be worth watching. In the six weeks before I subscribed, Swipey’s own release notes list context-built Scenes, minute-long video, the progression system I spent the evening inside, mid-call media requests with a recap after every call, and a rebuilt photo and video generator. Whatever else is true about this company, it is shipping at a pace most of this category is not.

Swipey AI is a browser-based AI girlfriend platform built on a swipe-and-chat discovery mechanic with an Instagram-style social feed layered on top. You browse character profiles, open a chat, and progress a relationship through named stages. It runs on desktop and mobile browsers. Chat, images, video, voice calls, and a character creator are all in one place, and a metered currency called hearts pays for everything except text.

What surprised me more was that the writing held up after I paid. Plenty of apps in this category quietly swap in a cheaper model once the card clears, and the replies go flat and templated. That did not happen here. The language stayed specific and in character across the session.

One small design choice does a lot of work. You can switch the chat to a full-screen mode where the character stands in the lower corner of the page at full height instead of sitting in a thumbnail. It sounds cosmetic. It is not. Talking to someone who occupies space feels different from talking to an avatar.

The honest scope limit: I ran one character on the highest spice and most submissive preset. The creator offers mean, dominant, playful and sweetheart alongside it, and I cannot tell you from testing whether those personalities genuinely diverge or share one voice.

Here is the part no other review of this product mentions, and it is the single most useful thing I learned in the hour.

Talking moves the meter slowly. Unlocking the photos and videos she sends you moves it substantially faster.

Once you notice that, the loop is obvious in a way that is either clever or uncomfortable depending on your mood. The relationship meter and the heart meter are the same system viewed from two directions. The product’s most compelling mechanic is also its most efficient sales mechanic. I do not think that is a scandal. It is worth knowing before you decide how much you want to spend on it.

The same logic runs through a Challenges board on the profile page, where the objectives are purchases. Unlock one video, unlock two photos, spend eight minutes in voice calls. Each pays back a small reward denominated well below what the objective costs.

How Fast Hearts Actually Go

I started the test with 240 hearts, the 40 a new account receives plus the 200 that arrived with the plan. An hour later the balance read 30.

That is not a complaint, it is a calibration. An hour of genuinely engaged play, the kind where you keep unlocking because the meter keeps moving, costs about a month’s allowance. If you intend to use this product the way it wants to be used, budget for top-ups or pace yourself deliberately.

One more mechanic worth knowing: the photos and videos she sends expire. Leave one unopened too long and she deletes it. That is a well-built piece of pressure, and you should recognise it for what it is when it lands.

Images and Videos in Chat

Image quality is genuinely good, and identity holds. The photos Nyx sent looked like the same person across the session rather than a fresh face each time, and the explicit output was fully explicit rather than coyly cropped. For a product at this price, the rendering is a real strength.

Where the Videos Stop Following the Scene

The clip I unlocked was convincing on its own terms and ran about nine seconds, with a 100-heart upsell offered for a longer version. But it did not follow the scene it came from. The conversation was at one act; the video opened at a considerably later one.

Swipey’s own announcements describe a Scenes feature that generates images and video from conversation context with no prompting required. What I saw did not behave that way, and one outside reviewer has argued the videos are drawn from a pre-made library rather than generated per scene. I could not settle it. Doing so properly needs several videos generated from deliberately incompatible contexts, which is 200 hearts I did not spend. Treat video as the part of this product I have not verified.

Swipey keeps a Memories panel that fills itself during conversation and lets you edit or delete individual entries by hand. This is rarer than it should be. Plenty of companion apps store memory invisibly and give you no way to correct it when it records something wrong, and the request for exactly this control shows up constantly in other products’ communities.

Being straight about the limit: I confirmed the panel exists, populates, and accepts edits. I did not run a long-session recall test, so whether it measurably improves how well the character remembers is untested.

The art direction is the quiet reason this product feels more expensive than its price. The catalog scrolls a long way across realistic and animated styles, and roughly half the cards on the home page carry animated nude previews, so the register announces itself immediately. I paid $19.99, and the subscription page lists $19.99 per month as the recurring price with the renewal date named. The checkout labelled it a one month subscription at 50% Off with 200 bonus hearts.

That 50% Off label deserves a note, because it is the kind of thing that produces angry reviews later. It implies a standard price around $40. My account’s subscription page nonetheless states $19.99 per month as the amount it will charge again. Both things were true on the page on the same day. Read your own subscription tab after you subscribe rather than assuming either number.

The plan covers unlimited chat messages, 200 hearts monthly, unlimited character creation, one-to-one calls, and access to private content.

Longer plans are advertised only as a price per day: about $0.53 for three months and $0.27 for twelve. No upfront total is shown on that screen, and I only completed the monthly checkout, so I cannot tell you what the annual plan actually charges. I am not recommending it until I have seen that number.

While I was on those screens a banner advertised 85% off beside a countdown, and eight minutes later the plan modal offered 50, 60 and 80 percent with a different clock running. Take the urgency furniture with the seriousness it deserves.

How to Cancel Swipey AI and Delete Your Account

Cancelling takes two clicks from your profile, and the terms are printed next to the button. Open Settings, choose the Subscription tab, and Cancel Subscription sits directly under the plan details with a line confirming that access continues until the end of the paid period.

Account deletion is separate and lives on the Profile tab of the same Settings screen, as Delete Profile. Cancelling does not delete, and deleting is not how you stop a renewal.
